Jeni and I have made Thursdays a sketch night, and I have been using those nights to draw differently than I do normally, to exercise skills. Last time I was drawing this UFC fighter and was surprised how different he looked with all his varied expressions. The time before that I attempted a portrait of the late Dennis Hopper. I haven't done a portrait like that in a while, not counting my pug painting, so I wasn't too let down with how it came out but the likeness is definitely off. More to come!
